Girls Night In Theme Ideas
1. Paint mason jars
Firstly, painting mason jars is such a blast for a girls night in theme! Once, my friends and I went all out with a Toy Story theme which was so nostalgic but so much fun. We were able to chat while compare mason jars and enjoy each others company! In addition to painting, we even threw on a Toy Story movie too.
All you need are clean mason jars, acrylic paints in your favorite colors, and some brushes. Whether you’re into precise designs or abstract art, it’s all about having fun and letting your creativity run wild!
2. Cookie decorating
Secondly, cookie decorating is seriously the best for a girls night in! With that said, it’s one of my go-tos for a girls night in theme because it’s super easy and loads of fun. And of course, all girls nights need food.
All you need are some delicious sugar cookies (or any flavor you like) and some icing. You can get creative with sprinkles, edible glitter, and all sorts of toppings.
Start by baking up a batch of cookies using your favorite recipe. While they cool, whip up some icing in different colors. Although intimidating, icing is easy to make with powdered sugar, a bit of milk, and food coloring. Lastly, once everything is ready, gather around the table with your friends, and let the decorating begin!
3. Spa night
Thirdly, spa night is perfect for a girls night in at the end of a busy week!
Set up a cozy spa area with face masks, nail polish, and relaxing music. Apply masks, enjoy mani pedis, and unwind with drinks and snacks. It’s a relaxing way to pamper yourselves and enjoy quality time together, all from the comfort of home.
4. Tea party
Hosting a tea party for a girls’ night in is such a cozy idea! Grab your favorite teas, cute teacups, and a mix of snacks. Having a cute tea set on hand will be great for future occasions as well.
Set up a relaxed vibe with a table spread of treats like scones, sandwiches, and desserts. Choose teas that suit everyone’s taste whether it is classic blends or fruity flavors.
Lastly, as you sip and munch, enjoy conversations and catch up with your girls. Although simple, it’s a laid-back way to unwind and have a great time together, all in the comfort of home.
5. Charcuterie boards
Hosting a girls night with a charcuterie board theme is a super fun way to hang out with friends. Each person brings a different type of board, like classic cheese and meat, fruit and nuts, dessert, Mediterranean, vegan, or even breakfast.
However, make sure you use the group chat to coordinate and make sure you get a good mix or no duplicates! You can even pair the boards with some wine, sparkling water, or a signature cocktail. This is so fun and makes for the perfect Tik Tok or IG story!
6. At home paint and sip
Hosting a paint and sip night at home is a fantastic way to have fun with your girls. Grab some canvases, paints, easels, and brushes, and set up a cozy painting area at home.
Additionally, you could pick a fun theme or let everyone freestyle! However, some funny examples could be painting each other and showing at the result at the end, movie themes, or more.
Lastly, pair the creative vibes with your favorite wines, cocktails, or mock tails, and some easy snacks. Also, you can play some music in the background to keep the energy light and fun, or throw up a virtual paint tutorial!
7. Air dry clay
Have you and your girls been eyeing pottery classes? If so, try crafting with air dry clay! It’s easy, mess-free, and perfect for making cute jewelry plates or even small tea plates.
All you need is your air dry clay and some creativity! I like to look at Tik Tok for air dry clay inspiration, although you can really sculpt anything your heart desires. It’s a fun project that leaves you with a beautiful keepsake to remember your night. Not only that, but it can build into multiple girls nights in: one night to create, one night to paint.
8. Drink challenge
Next, spice up your girls night in theme with a create-your-own mocktail competition!
You can even set a theme to this activity, for example, movies, seasons, or fairytales. Then, let everyone get creative with colors, flavors, and garnishes. For example, a “Little Mermaid” mocktail could be a glittery, purple drink with a hint of citrus and a touch of sparkle. That would be perfect for a Disney themed mocktail night.
After everyone mixes their masterpieces, taste and rate each one to crown the winner. Nonetheless, it’s a fun way to enjoy the evening, with delicious drinks and a little friendly competition.
9. Game night
A girls night in theme that will likely be full of fun and laughter is game night. Gather your favorite board games, card games, or even some trivia and party games to keep everyone entertained.
