First, Why Bed Decor?
We spend our nights in bed and our days with our beds done up. So yes, how they look and feel is important. Bed decor elevates the look of our rooms by creating a cleaner and more organized look. Having a messy bed or an unfinished bed may be easier, but it does not always enhance the look and feel of your room. With that said, if the luxurious look to a decorative bed does not appeal to you, the FEEL of a fully decorated bed just might!
Yes, you’d be surprised by how much more comfortable your bed can get. Simple bed decor from pillows and comforters will make your bed so super cozy. You’ll not want to get out of bed in the mornings and look forward to getting in after a long day with some of these tips!
Double Comforter Inserts
My favorite trick to obtaining the plush, luxurious bed look is by using two comforters in one duvet cover.
Although I am sure you have heard this trick before, it’s just the truth. This makes your bed look AND feel comfortable. It makes for a huge difference in the look and feel in your bedding and I will always encourage others to give it a try.
Getting super big and plush comforter inserts like the following is ideal. The one linked below is not only plush and fluffy, but it is oversized. Having an oversized comforter helps create a more cloud like bed. It also, in my opinion, creates an illusion of a larger luxurious bed. Lastly, you’ll have more to wrap yourself up in on colder nights.
Bed Decor Blankets
Having decorative blankets not only are a great way to split up or add some color to your bed, but they are a great immediate source of extra comfort. You can use them for extra layers or simply just decor.
I love to have a decorative blanket draped over the side of my bed. However, there are more ways to style one.
My blanket is this chunky knit one from Amazon in the smallest size (pictured above and linked below!) However, in the future I think I’ll use this as sofa decor and find a larger blanket to place on my bed. Again, there are just so many ways to style a decorative blanket so have fun with it!
