
With the new year comes forming new and easy habits that will help you achieve all of your new years resolutions! As the year comes to an end and we reflect on the year we have had, do you feel as though your habits aligned with the goals you were striving to achieve? If not, don’t worry, you are absolutely not the only one.
With the times we are living in it is really easy to get wrapped in a funk or demotivating phase. We have all been there. However, in order to make our new years resolution stick this new year, it is important we start reflecting on the habits we want to form.
Here are 8 easy habits that I have found make life more productive and successful for me that I will continue in 2024. These are easy habits to slowly integrate in to your lifestyle before or right at the new year!

Easy habits for 2024
1. Perfect your morning routine
Figuring out the perfect morning routine is with trial and error. However, I think I have found what works for me! I write more about how you can figure out a powerful Monday morning routine here. However, here are some general ideas you can integrate into everyday!
- Make your bed
- Have breakfast
- Move your body
These are 3 simple and easy things to add to your morning routine that will ensure you’re having productive days ahead of you. Once you perfect something as simple and easy as the three listed items, maybe add more that you feel may help you be productive and happy each day! This is a great start to a successful 2024!
2. Start journaling
Journaling is an incredible resource for planning, stress relief, venting, and more! There are so many benefits to owning a journal and using it!
However, if you’re unsure of where to start when it comes to journaling, finding journal prompts online is helpful! Simply searching Google for topics you may not have thought to tap into can have you writing for ages about things you didn’t know may have impacted you. With that said, I have over 50 journal prompt ideas posted here as well!
Journaling is a great way to decompress, track your plans and goals, as well as check in on your thoughts! You can let off steam on paper rather than the people in your life while also learning a lot about yourself and life.

3. Start reading
Whether you love reading fiction or self development books, reading has so many benefits for all of us. Reading allows us to tap into a new vocabulary, spend our time more productively, and learn more about ourselves. There are so many self development books out there as well that can cater to our goals!

4. Start exercising
Exercise is a great way to release and keep our bodies moving! If you’re not already doing it, it would be an incredible addition to your 2024 easy habits to integrate!
Find a workout schedule you think will work for you and stick to it for the year! It does not have to be anything incredibly difficult or stressful however exercising in general will be a great habit to include, regardless of the intensity!

5. Self care
Self care is so important and we can never have too much of it! This may look different to everyone but here are some things you can bring into the new year to focus on some self love.
- Massage appointments
- Facials
- Staycations
- Movie night
- New hobbies
- Bubble baths
They are so many more ways you can choose to treat yourself, however, it is exclusive to you and what you enjoy! It is crucial to take time out of our busy months to focus on things we feel we need. Some days it may be a movie night others it may be a weekend get away. Regardless of what you choose to be your self care item, it allows us to feel our best when accomplishing our annual goals!
6. Digital detox
Although this does not have to be a consistent habit, it is important to have frequent times where we do not focus on our phone. Constant digital use can be toxic, distracting, demotivating, and just overall harmful to our mental health! This can depend on the person, however, there can be many pros and cons to using our digital devices.
Taking 2 hours a day to disconnect from our phones can make a huge difference in our success and productivity. For example, a great way to disconnect could be by not using our phones an hour after waking up and an hour before bed. This is a great option for easy habits as it allows us to put some energy into more important areas!
7. Start budgeting
Budgeting is an incredibly helpful way to manage your financial success in the short and long term! If you’re unfamiliar with how to reach your financial goals or begin budgeting, I have many financial blog posts here.
Budgeting allows us to redirect our attention on ways to save, pay down debt, stop our overspending, increase investments, and much more! It is a crucial aspect to maintaining financial health and a great way to build success in 2024!

8. Meditation
Meditation has so many physical and mental benefits! Not only that, it is such a great add for 2024 easy habits. This is because meditation can be as simple as five minutes a day.
Finding some meditation music on your music subscription platform or even just youtube is a great way to start. Guided meditations are a little longer but even better!
Meditation is a great way to start your mornings off with a blank canvas and lower stress! Finding a quiet space to focus on emptying your mind and focusing on your breath each day will help. In my old apartment, I even set up a corner just for meditation!
