book recommendations

Are you looking for book recommendations? Or are you looking to find a new hobby? Or, are you just in a reading slump? Well, continue reading for some great recommendations.

If you’re looking for new hobbies, reading is a great one. There is nothing better than curling up and reading a great book. Books really allow you to envision your own world through someone else’s words. The romance genre is an absolute great section of books for daydreaming.

If you’re anything like me, you love and adore romance. I am a complete hopeless romantic and I live for love and the feelings associated with it. Romance books fulfill those feelings whenever I am lacking in some romantic drama and it can for you too!

An incredibly popular genre is of course, romance. So, this is perfect for those in a reading slump as I am here to recommend some of the best romance books I have read and never wanted to put down! Over the past year I have read countless books and in turn made many book recommendations. So, let’s get into it!

Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score

Things We Never Got Over is a book I almost couldn’t put down. I loved it!!

I interpreted this book simply as follows…Knox, a grumpy knight in shining armor, and Naomi, an optimistic piece of sunshine, surprisingly make for an amazing pair.

However, to get more complex, Naomi changes her life for the better by skipping her wedding, but her twin stops by to make things interesting. Naomi’s twin stops by, taking everything from her and leaving her with her niece. This is where Knox steps in and the beginning of a complicated but an amazing love story starts.

Nonetheless, after reading this I decided Lucy Score might be one of my favorite authors. I couldn’t be more excited to read more of this collection this year.

Lucy Score has came out with two more books for this series and I have already bought the second. I am so excited to start reading it and look forward to purchasing and reading the third as well. Lucy Score’s story telling is amazing and I am just confident I will love these additions too.

I give this one 5 stars!!

Untying the Knot by Meghan Quinn

Without giving too much away, I am sure this book portrays a fairytale feel to many. Girl’s want to be fought for and loved unconditionally, and this book gives a whole new meaning to it. Despite how complicated love can get, some forms of it are absolutely worth fighting for!

At first I was not sure how to feel about this book. I found myself increasingly annoyed with Myla. Her character comes off as slightly immature and not understanding. With that said, I am sure many others would have a completely different assumption of her. Myla is also super lighthearted and honestly funny. However, Ryot and Myla have a beautiful love story that shines through all of the misunderstandings and personality complications on either end.

I give this one 4 stars!!

Pack Up the Moon by Kristian Higgins

I remember reading through the end of this book through glossy eyes! This book really tells a story of grief and true love.

After a terrible tragedy, Joshua is forced to live on without the love of his life… or so he thought. Lauren left Joshua letters to read throughout his grieving to not only hold him accountable for certain tasks, but to make him feel less alone.

To walk through Joshua’s grieving process in this book was an interesting and emotional rollercoaster. However, I am sure we all hope to have a love as strong as what Joshua had for Lauren as their relationship was portrayed beautifully by Kristian Higgins.

Nonetheless, I totally recommend this for anyone in need of a good cry as this one will make you shed a tear or two.

I give this one 3.5 stars!!

Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan

I perceived this as a story about relationships, grief, loss, and motherhood. Kennedy Ryan did such a good job at portraying the highs, lows, and confusing parts of relationships. However, this book taught me that everyone heals and goes through life differently. We can’t force other people to be where we ourselves are at in life.

We all make mistakes as did Josiah and Yasmin, but most importantly they learned from those. Their journey to learning more about each others healing makes for a beautiful love story and lesson for readers. Josiah and Yasmin’s undeniable connection can give a sense of reassurance to readers that everything will be okay.

Throughout reading this I felt a whirlwind of emotions! From annoyed, to heartbroken, to excited, and more, this book really covers it all. I recommend this book because it is so relatable but also valuable, especially if you know someone who is grieving.

I give this one 4 stars!

Twisted Games by Ana Huang

Now, I recommend reading the series in order for when it comes to this one. With that said, I also recommend you keep an open mind for each one you read. I personally really liked them all, however, they all have different but similar, almost predictable, story lines.

With that said, Bridget and Rhys story was not predictable and was so heartwarming. The tension, admiration, and more was just amazing. These are two people who absolutely should not fall in love, but have. While at some points you may think they’re willing to throw it all away, they surprise you. I love their story and love how they fought for their right to love each other.

Oh, and Bridget is a princess… who doesn’t love a princess themed romance book!

I give this one… 3.5 stars!

Lastly, thank you!
